To allow Clearit to file CAPE refund claims on your behalf—especially for shipments not originally cleared by Clearit—you’ll need to grant access to your ACE account. This process ensures we have the appropriate permissions to submit filings efficiently and without delays. Follow the steps below to add Clearit as a user in your ACE account.
To grant Clearit access to your ACE account, please complete each step below.
- Log into Modernized ACE
Log into Modernized ACE using the Top Account Owner user account for your company’s ACE profile.
This user can be identified in the Tools tab under User Access.
- Open the Tools tab
Once logged in, click the Tools tab.
- Add a new user
Click Add User in the top right-hand corner of the page.
- Enter Clearit’s email address
Add Clearit’s email address to both fields: [email protected]
Then click Continue.
- Confirm the user details
Review the page and confirm that access is being provided to Clearit and that [email protected] is shown.
- Continue to the access settings
Click Continue again.
- Allow access to the Top Account
For Access to Top Account, select Yes.
- Allow Cross Account Access
For Cross Account Access, select Yes.
Then select the Top Account you plan to assign access to.
- Save and exit
Click Save and Exit to open the User Name Pane.
You’re almost done — please be sure to complete the remaining steps below.
- Assign the correct role
Navigate to Roles.
Select Full Access.
Click Ok on the pop-up.
- Confirm importer access
Click the > icon next to Importer.
Confirm that your Importer Number(s) populate on the right side of the screen.
Then click Done.
- Complete the confirmation prompts
Confirm your selection on the dialog box until the process is complete
